Airports "rethinking" projects in wake of terrorist attacks
Article Abstract:
A loss of travel business, following the September 11th terrorist attacks on the United States, is causing airports to reconsider their capital projects and slash spending. The Canadian Airports Council estimates that increased security costs for airports will climb 1.7 percent in September while corresponding revenue will drop 2.6 percent.

Air Canada executives get backing

GE Capital Aviation Services Inc. and Air Canada have reached a deal to restructure 106 aircraft leases. As part of the deal, GE will provide loans worth 1.8 billion Canadian dollars to the carrier.

Ian Molson puts takeover bid on ice
Article Abstract:
The rival investor group of Ian Molson has taken a step back from a potential offer for Molson Inc. and would be bidding for the brewery only if shareholders vote down the company's proposed merger with Adolph Coors Co. The investor group decided against submitting a counter bid ahead of a shareholder vote expected to take place in December or January 2004.
