An Open-and-Shut Case? Well, Not So Fast
Article Abstract:
The case against Tyco International executives L. Dennis Kozlowski and Mark H. Swartz may not be the sure bet for NY state prosecutors that was predicted. The trial has been lingering for almost four months and is expected to run until the end of February. Kozlowski and Swartz are charged with various corporate crimes, securities fraud, disclosure of false records, and exploitation of company finances for their own personal benefit. Jurors are beginning to appear bored and confused, and the prosecution seems to have lost its focus with rambling wtiness testimony and evidence that the defense team has been able to contradict.
