Analysts warn of more Corel woes

Software maker Corel Corp. of Ottawa, Canada, has announced a loss of C$14.6 million or 24 cents per share on revenue of $40.3 million in the 1st qtr 1999 ended Feb 28. The company posted a loss of 36 cents per share on sales of C$45.4 million in the 1st qtr 1998. Analysts believe that the second quarter figures will also be down on the news the new versions of its flagship products - CorelDraw and WordPerfect, will not be released until April 1999.
