Prime Minister Jean Chretien continues to back Gen Jean Boyle and Defense Minister David Collenette despite calls for both men's resignation amid the Somalia scandal investigation. Retired Maj-Gen Brian Vernon also called for Boyle's resignation and alleged that Boyle tarnished the image of Canadian Forces.
