Bargain hunters bid up HBC shares

Bargain-hunting investors treated the prospect of a takeover offer from Target Corp. as the best opportunity to save sale by inviting shares in retailer Hudson's Bay Co. (HBC). This prospect of a sale drove Toronto-based HBC shares up 75 cents or 5 percent to a 52-week high close of $15 on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
