Big Bear cancels natural ags contracts; stock plunges 42%

Oil and gas company Big Bear Exploration Ltd of Calgary, Alberta, has announced the cancellation of C$49 million worth of contracts of its insolvent subsidiary Blue Range Resource Corp. The company also filed for bankrupty protection in behalf of its wholly owned subsidiary. The cancellation of the gas contracts will increase the debts of Big Bear by C$49 million, or 6%, to C$234 million.

Talisman profit jumps 123%
