Black loses allies from board

Justice Colin Campbell of the Ontario Superior Court has ordered the removal of Barbara Amiel, David Radler and Jack Boultbee as directors of the Toronto-based Hollinger Inc. Catalyst Fund General Partner 1 Inc., a Hollinger preferred shareholder, had applied to the court to have those directors removed because of an unauthorized $1.1-million loan made by a company subsidiary to Ravelston Corp., a company held by Conrad Black, chairman and CEO of Hollinger.

Hollinger loses two more directors
Article Abstract:
Hollinger Inc. has lost two more directors, leaving back five members at Conrad Black's embattled Toronto-based holding company. It was announced that Peter Atkinson, a director and executive vice-president had resigned for some personal matters and the other member, Charles Cowan, a vice-president and secretary of the company as well as a director retired at the end of 2003.
