Bank expected to hold rates firm

A new survey of the financial services industry has found that a consensus exists over the stability of interest rates. Most industry analysts, taking into account the SARS outbreak and slowdown in the inflation rate,?beleive that the Bank of Canada will keep interest rates at current levels.

IMF warns of lingering risks

The global economy is expected to expand by 3.2% in 2003 according to a new report from the International Monetary Fund. The report showed that the Canadian economy, which is expected to expand at 2.8% in 2003, led other industrialized nations.
