Private Jake Kovco was the first Australian serviceman on active duty in Iraq to die and there was urgency to return his body to Australia. The Australian Defence Force used a private company to move him from US military morgue to a private mortuary in Kuwait as a result Kovco's body was accidentally switched with that of Juso Sinanovic, a Bosnian contractor who died in Iraq after a stroke.
