Blue-chip execs wooed by Web start-ups
Article Abstract:
Highly talented executives, bankers and lawyers are abandoning lucrative jobs for the promise of potential riches to be had from the Internet despite the fact that only one in every 10 Internet venture succeeds. The trend is alarming and holds grave implications for top investment banks and law firms as well as their clients. This is because the mass exodus of these experienced professionals is leaving less qualified bankers and lawyers to handle sensitive transactions such as mergers and acquisitions.
