Bracknell forms link with WorldCom
Article Abstract:
Bracknell Corp. has gained a strategic relationship with phone giant WorldCom Inc. This has made Bracknell a leading North American telecom network builder through a US$100-million stock purchase of Able Telecom Holding Corp. The news of the deal with the giant gave Bracknell's share price a 22% boost. Bracknell's shares rose $1.4 on the Toronto Stock Exchange to close at $7.65. The WorldCom deal is going to add $150-million to Bracknell's annual sales in the first year of the six year long pact.

AT&T targets MCI for fraud, racketeering

The telephone company which was formerly known as WorldCom Inc., Ashburn, Va.-based MCI, has been accused by AT and T Corp. of avoiding high fees by routing phone calls through Canada. AT and T claims that MCI cheated local telephone companies out of millions of dollars in access fees.
