Bre-X affiliate seeks to get back in business
Article Abstract:
Bro-X Minerals Ltd, a Calgary, Alberta-based affiliate of Bre-X Minerals Ltd, is asking its shareholders to put up C$2.2 million to allow the company to get back in business. The funding request is one of several moves the company has made in the hope of emerging from bankruptcy protection following the spectacular collapse of Bre-X. The company is considering changing its name to Valient Ventures Ltd to further disassociate itself from Bre-X, which went under after it was alleged that its supposedly rich Busang gold deposit in Indonesia was not.
