East Coast oil projects off fast track
Article Abstract:
Oil and gas projects off Newfoundland such as Terra Nova and White Rose have slowed down as a result of depressed commodity prices. However, major petroleum companies are taking a long-term view of the region's oil prospects. Companies such as Mobil Oil Canada Ltd, Chevron Canada Resources Ltd, Petro-Canada and Husky Oil have remained committed to the province, and will provide basic funding to meet project targets and deadlines on their original timetables.
