Article Abstract:
Language Master Dictionary and Thesaurus provides an on-line resource for poor spellers and those at a loss for words. It's an 80,000-word Merriam-Webster dictionary and Webster's Collegiate Thesaurus that offers options to misspelled words. Even good spellers can use it in conjunction with a word processing program to prevent typographical errors. It can even replace the word in question with a word from the thesaurus without retyping. Language Master comes in DOS on either five 5.25-inch or three 3.5-inch disks. It takes 100 Kbytes of memory and 1.5 million bytes of hard-disk space. Language Master Dictionary and Thesaurus, formerly Choice Words, is available from Proximity Technology for $99. Also, Useable Portable Publications expanded its product list of guides to word-processing programs. Included are DisplayWrite, Microsoft Word, Multimate Advantage, WordPerfect, WordStar and XyWrite.

Electronic forms that fill the bill
Article Abstract:
Bloc Publishing Corp's FormTool 2.01D, ($95; $25) for an upgrade, lets a user design new forms or adapt standard ones. FormTool lets a user draw lines, boxes and grids, adding captions and instructions, so that a form that fits a particular need can be generated quickly and easily. FormTool comes on five 5.25-inch floppy disks and on three 3.5-inch disks. The program runs on an IBM-compatible microcomputer with 256Kbytes of memory (384Kbytes with a preview feature), with DOS 2.1 or later. Another program from Bloc Publishing - FormFiller 2.0 ($149; $35 for upgrades) - is a sort of FormTool in reverse. Take a form that is usually filled in by hand or on a typewriter, place the form in a printer and fill in the form's blanks on a microcomputer. Forms in the printer translate into templates stored in the computer's memory, so that templates are saved. Forty standard templates are included.
