CAW vows to fight GM if plants are restructured

General Motors Corp (GM) will face a battle once the automaker pursues reorganization of its assembly facilities in Canada through importation of a manufacturing method, also called modular assembly, according to Buzz Hargrove, the head of the Canadian Auto Workers (CAW) union. Known as the Yellowstone project, GM's modular assembly concept is a key issue in talks between CAW and GM's unit, General Motors of Canada Ltd.
