Omnicom in talks to acquire Gee Jeffery
Article Abstract:
Omnicom Group Inc, the world's biggest communications company, is eyeing Gee Jeffery and Partners Advertising inc, an independent advertising agency based in Toronto, Ontario. The companies confirmed the existence of discussions but said the talks are still in the early stages. Sources said both sides could reach a deal by the end of 1999. However, the precarious financial condition of Canadian Airlines International Ltd, one of Gee Jeffery's biggest clients, could derail a deal.
