CHUM ltd., on 26 February 2004, lost its bid to establish two new television stations in Alberta. The Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission allowed Global Television to plant an important potential beachhead in Alberta for its alternative national services known as CH.

Znaimer signs off as executive at CHUM; keeps own projects

Toronto, Ont.-based CHUM Ltd. has announced that its vice-president for corporate development, Moses Znaimer, will resign. Mr. Znaimer, who also was CHUM's president and executive producer, had worked at the television broadcaster for over three decades.
