CIBC boosts Amicus outlook

Toronto, Ont.-based Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce has announced that its Amicus Financial unit in the U.S. is expected to become profitable by 2003. Canadian Imperial Bank, which is led by chairman John Hunkin, has reported numerous problems in its strategy of expanding into the U.S.
