Selling mutual funds with beauty, not numbers
Article Abstract:
BNP Paribas of France and Schroders Asset Management of Britain have developed new print advertising campaigns to sell mutual funds. The campaigns, developed by Euro RSCG Worldwide and Team Spirit, respectively, feature beautiful women instead of financial statistics. Italian model Carla Bruni is featured in the BNP Paribas ad and four women, representing Schroders' 'Style Collection' of mutual funds, decorate its ad.

Virgin Atlantic jumps on a supposed gaffe by British Airways, tweaking its rival one more time
Article Abstract:
When British Airways chief Rod Eddington spoke of Hollywood celebrities as "gutless cowards" for being afraid to fly after Sept. 11, Virgin Atlantic chief Sir Richard Branson saw a chance to punch his rival; new Virgin ads in Variety and the Hollywood Reporter touting Eddington's words with Virgin's phone number. CMG Communications created the campaign, claiming that it isn't about British Airways but the airline says Eddington's remarks were out of contest and is dismayed at attack ads at this time in history. Virgin is merely following a history of needling its bigger rival through advertising and marketing pranks.
