Canada Trust plans new mutual lineup
Article Abstract:
Canada Trust Co., which has an existing line of 27 no-load funds, is intending to introduce in Canada two new series of mutual funds around the end of 1998. The two new series of funds, which require approvals by provincial securities commissions, enable service and pricing options to be customized to meet particular client requirements. Registered pension plans and group plans will be included in series A units, which will be availed for prices lower than the retail rate. On the other hand, Canada Trust's series B units cover individual investors who are customers of the company's investment counselling and estate and trust services units.
