Certicom pulls stock offering after Nasdaq selloff

Certicom Corp. has terminated plans for a second stock offering in the United States. The company had planned to sell five million shares in the US. However, the offering was withdrawn one day after the worst selloff took place on the Nasdaq Stock Market in 15 months.

Certicom shares fall on plan to sell more stock

Mississauga, Ont.-based Certicom Corp., which manufactures encryption software, announced that it will launch an additional share issue. Certicom, which saw its stock value fall ten percent after the announcement, also has operations in Hayward, Calif.
