Article Abstract:
Alliance Communications Corp. and Atlantis Communications Inc., both based in Toronto, Canada, intends to merge to form a company about the size of Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer. Michael MacMillan, the chairman and CEO of the proposed merged company, said that their main priority is the expansion of the company via acquisitions and more production. A few observers have expressed apprehension that MacMillan does not have what it takes to impress investors and Bay Street.
