Consumers dial around for a better deal
Article Abstract:
WorldxChange and Excel Communications are two dial-around companies that have continued to benefit from the demand for their inexpensive long-distance services. The dial-around market will also witness the entry of another competitor as AT&T intends to enter the lucrative market with its own long-distance service. WorldxChange has continued to benefit from its dial-around service after it was banned from offering conventional phone services. Excel's growth rate has doubled since it started to offer the service in several markets last month.
