The prices of crude oil on 30 August 2004 dropped steeply to their lowest level in a month as pessimistic sentiment tightens its grip on a market that was fluctuating with record highs. Analysts believe that since then, prices have dropped every day, a 15-percent decline fuelled by a turnabout in speculation sentiment.
