DataMirror shares fall on earnings shortfall
Article Abstract:
Software maker DataMirror Corp of Toronto, Ontario, has announced that its profit for FY 1999 will be C$700,000 to C$900,000, or 7 to 9 cents a share, on revenue of around C$354 million for the 13th month period ended Jan 31, 1999. The profit was 74% lower than the 34-cent profit expected by industry analysts. The company attributed the earnings fall to delays in British contracts stemming from the euro and the Y2K computer bug.
