Democratic Candidates Differ On Economy, but Often Subtly
Article Abstract:
Democratic presidential candidates are showing more similarities than differences on issues pertaining to economic and tax policies. All would rescind some degree of the Bush administration tax cuts. Several would propose new federally-funded health care benefits. What is not clear from any candidate is how a Democratic president would end the skyrocketing budget deficit since that may require a politically consequential proposal to raise other taxes.
