Airlines are sprucing up their clubs to lure business travelers who have been in shorter supply as the economy has tightened. Fancy airport clubs are the newest realm of airline one-upmanship. From sweeping views to free back rubs, airlines are pulling out the stops to offer luxurious oases at their biggest hubs. Among the airlines enhancing their clubs' features are American, United, Northwest, Delta and Virgin Atlantic.

Corporate travel managers scaling back budgets
Article Abstract:
Corporate travel managers have curtailed their spending and limited it to the most essential travel within their companies. A survey revealed that 61% of managers have restricted their traveling, a figure which shows an increase of 2% from Sep 1, 2000. Severl airlines are seeign fewer of the full-fare business travelers that are their financial lifeblood. The trend is seen as a sign of a softening economy.
