Diavik project news boosts Aber shares

Aber Resources Ltd's shares jumped 13% to close at C$11.20 on the Toronto Stock Exchange following encouraging reports on the environmental evaluation process being conducted on its Diavik diamond property in the Northwest Territories. The increase in share price happened the same day that Vancouver, Canada-based Aber reported that its profit for the year ended Jan 31, 1999, was just below C$1.5 million, or 3 cents per share, compared to a loss of C$1.6 million, or 4 cents a share, in the same period in 1998.
