Dodge plays down Nortel collapse

Bank of Canada Governor, David Dodge, spesaking at the end of the Group of Seven meeting in Palermo, encouraged investors not to be "spooked" by the fall of shares in Nortel Networks Corp. He noted that corections were occuring in the communications sector of which Nortel is the flagship but the are many companies that are important in terms of technology and employment.

Nortel discloses financing conditions
Article Abstract:
Nortel Networks Corp. has disclosed its financing conditions. It may have to earn up to $350-million (U.S.) before interest, taxes, depreciation, amortization and other items in the fourth quarter of 2002 in order for it to be eligible to borrow up to $1.58 billion.
