Article Abstract:
Locals in Ngukurr, located 600km south-east of Darwin claim that Aboriginal women and school going girls were subjected to birth control procedures, against their will or without the consent of their guardians, which is a very extreme step. A legal team is helping the Aboriginal women who were sterilized against their will, approximately twenty years ago and a possible case to establish a type of assault may be formed in the case of girls who had to face pregnancy screenings in school.
