Dylex on the acquisition trail
Article Abstract:
Dylex Ltd. President and CEO Elliott Wahle has told shareholders at the company's annual meeting that Dylex is considering to complete an acquisition within two years. Wahle noted that Toronto, Ontario-based Dylex, which operates 638 stores throughout Canada, will seek to acquire businesses that complement the firm's existing operations. Dylex Chairman Bill Anderson also told shareholders that Dylex, which has completed a financial restructuring in 1995 and reduced long-term debt from C$200 million to C$400,000, is trying to reclaim its position as a leading retail company in Canada.
