Eaton's goes on a youth kick

T. Eaton Co. Ltd. of Toronto, Canada, will open on Aug. 17, 1998, its new teen shops at all of the company's 64 department stores Canada-wide. On the same day, the company's new 15 commercials, which feature teen-agers representing various walks of life, will start to be aired. The commercials, which include English and French spots, are part of Eaton's plans to establish an image of a cool shopping place for teen-agers. Eaton's soon-to-be-unveiled in-store teen shops will have an urban and trendy atmosphere boasting of couches, concrete floors, projection TVs and young salespersons.

Brick granted bottle reprieve

Brick Brewing Company Ltd. has won a bottling court case in Canada over the country's three largest brewers. Brick won a temporary court order that permits it to continue sales of beer in any bottle it wants.
