Economists see continuing growth through 2000
Article Abstract:
The Canadian economy is projected to continue its steady growth through 2000, according to economists. Analysts estimate a 2.6% growth rate in 2000, which will be characterized by above-potential growth, lower unemployement rate, minimal inflation, and further improvements in government finances. Bank of Nova Scotia Chief Economist Warren Jestin added that economic rebound in Asia, Latin America and Europe will contribute in boosting Canada's economy.
