Canada is a country that is used to changing slowly. Roughly three months remain for a constitution to be written and submitted to committees for approval or rejection. Three months is not nearly enough time to compromise on the issue.

The possibility of a referendum on the constitution in Canada will be a tough fight between groups with opposite views of Canada's future. Such a referendum would only be advisory, but the people cannot be ignored once they have voted.
