Family feuds at Molson's meeting
Article Abstract:
A family feud over whom is the best suited to lead the Molson Inc. as chairman broke open at the annual general meeting on 22 June 2004 against a backdrop of growing speculation the 218-year-old Canadian icon may be sold. Old Establishment Corporate Canada, chairman Eric Molson, was publicly confronted by shareholders who support Ian Molson, a cousin who was serving as deputy chairman but who did not stand for re-election after an internal spat over his role at the company.
