How broker to the stars came to be behind bars
Article Abstract:
Cassandra Group owner Dana Giacchetto is behind bars after his clients charged him with robbing them of at least $6 million through their accounts with him. The promising, young financial adviser to Hollywood stars such as Be Affleck, Leonardo DiCaprio, Cameron Diaz, Lauren Holly and Matt Damon first encountered difficulties when Chase Capital partners, a unit of Chase Manhattan Bank, severed its ties with him and his investment management firm. This was followed by clients' complaints and an audit conducted by SEC. The lawsuits came after another when clients discovered the unauthorized transfer of funds from their accounts.
