Mainstream Muslims are not rushing to join the jihad, or holy war, against the United States, as fundamentalists would like. While many Muslims may not agree with the United States' policy in the Middle East, they do not believe a holy war is justified. However, media coverage may be overstating the popularity of the fundamentalists and ignoring mainstream views.

Many military analysts assume that North Korea may have two nuclear bombs. Australian diplomats think North Korea could make up to ten more a year if it continues on its present course. North Korean leader Kim Jong Il is reportedly a skilled strategist, and he will need those skills as international pressure mounts for him to scrap his nuclear program.
