GM aid at risk if Canadian job cuts hit 4,000

The implications of layoff of 4,000 employees by General Motors of Canada Ltd. (GM) on the aid received by the company from the Ontario Economic Development ministry are discussed. According to the terms of the aid, GM would not be required to refund any amounts provided it manages to employ on an average 16,000 employees for the coming 9 years.
