Geac buying software assets from U.S. firm
Article Abstract:
Geac Computer Corporation Ltd of Toronto, Ontario, has announced a deal to acquire the management software business of Clarus Corp for C$25 million in cash. The deal will cover Clarus Corp's products, manufacturing assets and intellectual property, as well as its 150 workers. Geac has earlier announced the acquisition of UK software firm JBA Holdings PLC for C$205 million.

Roxio set to relaunch Napster by end of year
Article Abstract:
Napster 2.0 will be introduced by Santa Clara, Calif.-based Roxio Inc. in 2003. Roxio, which is led by chairman Chris Gorog, will re-launch the new fee-based online music service along with a $20 million marketing campaign.
