Four German teenagers and four American teenagers discuss their impressions of each other's countries and what it is like growing up in their own countries, at a meeting that took place in Spring 2001 in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany. The meeting was part of Parade magazine's annual Young Columbus educational trip for young Americans to Europe.

A survey of teenagers' views on sex education and violence in schools is presented. Some teens feel their sex education programs are unrealistic, naive and should include more AIDS education. Teens also discuss racial and social tension, and fighting in schools.
