Giant California utility files for Chapter 11
Article Abstract:
San Francisco, Calif.-based Pacific Gas and Electric Co., which is owned by PG&E Corp., has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. Pacific Gas and Electric, which serves 13 million customers in California, is the largest utility in the state ahead of Southern California Edison Co.
