Got a silly idea for a Net start-up? Keep it to yourself
Article Abstract:
The proliferance of little Internet-based startup companies which appear to have silly products or services to offer presents a valuable lesson on entrepreneurship. Employees who believe they have great ideas that would benefit their firms might be awarded an employee-of-the-month plaque if their suggestion is successful. However, if they take their ideas and exploit the available capital to be had from venture capitalists to create a successful startup, they might end up with a fortune. Furthermore, many startup companies ultimately are acquired by considerably larger corporations.
