Australia will have to either modify its quarantine system or face trade restrictions if the EU is successful in its claim that the Australia's quarantine process is nothing more than disguised protectionism. The city of Brussels is aware of Australia's leadership of the free agricultural trade Cairns Group and its high moral holds a good position against the EU's protectionist common agricultural policy.
