Article Abstract:
The Mexican banking sector is facing a crisis with the sluggish growth of loans that accounts for 20 percent of gross domestic product as compared to 90 percent in Canada. However, five well-capitalized foreign banks holding 95 percent of the industry's deposits and 85 percent of the total assets assure growth in the banking sector.
