Australian car manufacturer, Holden has suffered significant damage to its domestic business, after its parent company, General Motors withdrew the American version of the Commodore-based car from the market. The blow comes at a critical time for Holden, as it follows the failure of key components supplier Ion, poor sales of its Adventra 4*4 wagon, the withdrawal of its Daewoo brand from Australia and the crucial validation period in its new Commodore's development.
