Hotels are targeting young corporate travelers with high-tech services and amenities. Starwood created W. Each hotel with GenXers in mind, offering hip bars and whimsical amenities such as gumball machines with Hot Tamale candies, and featuring contemporary designs at its hotel rooms. Aside from hotels, car rental firms and airlines are also paying close attention to business travelers ages 18 to 34, who are earning far more than people ever have at that age.

Hotels begin to cater to kids
Article Abstract:
Several hotels have launched various marketing initiatives targeting children of business travelers in hopes of drawing more customers. These marketing efforts include creating theme parks and providing play yards and themed bedrooms for kids. Other hotels are offering kids suites that are equipped with a variety of amenities such as CD players, VCRs, TVs and video game equipment.

Hotels check in guests before they set foot inside

More hotels are boosting their efforts to offer express check-in and checkout services. For instance, wireless technology is being tapped to program electronic card keys outside hotels. This will help accelerate express check-in. According to the 1999 Business Travel Monitor by Yesawich Pepperdine and Brown and Yankelovich Partners, 81% of business tarvelers view such services as very desirable.
