Howard has one last chance to dance
Article Abstract:
John Howard in 1998 has the chance to demonstrate he can lead Australia. With Wik legislation not in the national agenda, his supporters believe he will show his leadership. Questions about his failure to counter the One Nation party's Pauline Hanson, Paul Keating, and Coalition's drive to attract voters remain unanswered. This election will answer many questions about Howard and whether he has the ability to govern effectively.

Soldier of misfortune
Article Abstract:
John Howard has to take shelter by cuddling up to George Bush, with the Iraq war deteriorating daily, which is not a good idea. This is because George Bush has his own election battle ahead and if Bush loses, anti-war Australians will be relieved to see the back of him and thus less inclined to take out their wrath over Iraq on Howard.
