Bell accelerates its high-speed strategy
Article Abstract:
Bell Canada is expected to launch a marketing campaign that is aimed at growing its 18,000 customer-base to over 80,000 by the end of 1999. The company is said to be close to finalizing a distribution deal with other Internet service providers for its Sympatico High Speed Edition service. Bell Canada's move, which has included lowering its rates from C$200 per month to about C$25, is considered to be necessary if it intends to catch up with its competitors.
