Investors posts record 4th-quarter results

Investors Group Inc has reported record 4th qtr 1998 profit of C$52.4 million or 25 cents a share, up from C$40.4 million or 19 cents per share in the previous year. For FY 1998, the mutual fund posted a record of C$188.3 million in profit or a 28% increase from $147.5 million in 1997. The company said that the earnings increase was the seventh-consecutive year for Investors, which distributes mostly inhouse-managed funds via its financial advisers.
