Iowa's Dark Art of Caucusing Is Turning a Bit More Public
Article Abstract:
Iowa will be conducting its state-wide caucuses next Monday evening with some changes to accomodate the media and an anticipated higher number of voters. The caucus system, which determines how many delegates are assigned to presidential candidates, is a complicated undertaking that depends upon a series of mathematical formulas to arrive at a correct statistical result. There will be 1,993 precinct meetings through Iowa to divide 13,490 precinct delegates according to the preferred presidential candidate of each group of voting participants.
